Eel River Brewing is located in Scotia (California), two hours north of San Francisco in the heart of the Emerald Triangle, named so as it is the largest cannabis-producing region, not just in the US, but the World!
(After the legalisation of cannabis in California for medicinal purposes in 1996, as well as relaxed laws on possession, the cannabis producing industry has exploded in this region..)
The brewery itself is housed in a 130 year-old historical building which from 1887 to 2007 was a functioning Redwood Mill.
Eel River moved themselves to this building in 2007, after outgrowing their original brewery site.
As well as being THE first certified organic brewery in the US, Eel River pride themselves on being as eco-centric as possible with everything they do. They don’t only run their entire brewery with 100% bio-mass renewable energy, but their packaging, promotional items, even their tap handles, are made from reclaimed or recycled materials.
The focal point of the bar is a 9 meter long bar made entirely from recovered redwood which was processed by the old mill!
We’re really excited to be presenting 5 of their excellent beers all the way over here in Brisbane, Australia!
On Tap from midday till they run out will be:
:: Emerald Triangle Session IPA, 4.5%
:: Emerald Triangle IPA, 6.7%
:: Earth Thirst (Seasonal) - Double IPA, 8.2%
:: Triple Exultation - Old Ale / Strong Ale, 9.7%
